Twenty-five years ago, the Club de Oro de la Mesa Andaluza, COMA (Golden Club of the Andalusian Restaurants) was created and soon became an indisputable benchmark of prestige in the sector. It is a free Association formed by proven quality restaurants of all Andalusian provinces in order to promote and publicize the best Andalusian cuisine -one of the richest and most varied of the whole country- and its excellent products, specially organic, as well as the research and technical development and the renewal of the restaurants themselves. Among its numerous activities -including the “Oro” magazine- the COMA holds regular working meetings and collaborates with public institutions and recognized associations such as Eurotoques and Young Restaurateurs of Europe, Catering Colleges… Mr Manuel Moreno is the current president.
Owner and Chef of El Copo well known seafood restaurant in Palmones, province of Cádiz, close to Algeciras and Gibraltar. Mr Moreno is a man with an indisputable personality, constantly and successfully engaged with the Andalusian gastronomy and the good running of this Club.
